They are 99.9% evaporated sodium chloride and have virtually no insoluble content. They also contain no binding additives and help reduce bridging or mushing in water softening units, which can practically eliminate tank clean-out with proper use. Tru-Soft® pellets meet American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards for water softening salt, and are NSF certified. With hard minerals removed, the resulting softened water is far more gentle on hair and skin.
